PRIDE PICTURES 2025
For the 32nd time, PRIDE PICTURES is transforming Karlsruhe into a place of queer stories, perspectives, and encounters. For eight days, visitors can expect a diverse program featuring 15 new, bold, and emotional feature films and documentaries, as well as carefully curated short film programs.
The festival opens with a glittering party night at the Alte Hackerei and invites visitors to enjoy intense cinema experiences, discussions, and community moments throughout the week. One highlight is the panel discussion at the Junges Staatstheater under the motto “Diverse Karlsruhe: Queer Culture, Visibility & Freedom,” which focuses on the political and cultural challenges of queer culture.
A special focus will be on the PRIDE PICTURES PRISM Award, which will be presented for the second time. Sponsored by UNESCO City of Media Arts Karlsruhe and endowed with 1,000 euros, the award will be presented by a high-caliber jury (Oska M. Borcherding, Eva Maria Jost, Popo Fan) at a festive award ceremony at the Kinemathek, which will include a screening of the winning film.
In addition, Alistair Hudson, scientific and artistic director of the ZKM, will be the patron of the event and invites visitors to special queer tours at the ZKM.
Here you will find all the information about the films, the supporting program, and ticket purchases.
