Red Ribbon Fundraiser 2025
Information (also) for students:
On December 1, World AIDS Day, we want to send a message together.HIV is still an issue today—and people living with the virus continue to experience prejudice and exclusion. In 2023, around 96,700 people in Germany were living with HIV. Thanks to modern medicine, the infection can be treated effectively, and with timely therapy, those affected can lead long and healthy lives. For many affected individuals, however, the greatest burden is not the virus itself, but the fear of prejudice or rejection. These experiences can lead HIV-positive people to seek less support or delay seeking medical care. The red ribbon makes solidarity visible. That's why we want as many people as possible to wear the red ribbon. On this World AIDS Day, students will distribute red ribbons and collect money for ZeSIA Karlsruhe with ZeSIA donation boxes. With this campaign, we want to contribute to sharing knowledge, showing solidarity, and supporting people. 100% of the donations collected will go towards the work of ZeSIA. Thank you very much for your commitment. Together, we are helping to increase knowledge, break down prejudices, and support people with HIV with respect and solidarity.
